ジョルジュ・バタイユ「眼球譚」頌

Hommage a “Histoire de l’oeil” de George Bataille　

 

ジョルジュ・バタイユの「眼球譚」は、それを否定するにしろ、肯定するにしろ、２０世紀から２１世紀の世界で、官能と暴力を描く上では避けて通れない巨大な石碑だろう。意識の根源である眼球と、人間よりはるかに長い生命を持つ樹木は、苛烈な自然と耐えがたい時間の中で、ねじれ、裂け、悶え、叫ぶ。そのさまを、モノクロームのデッサン的な写真で定着しようとした作品群である。

 

"Histoire de l'oeil" par Georges Bataille est peut-etre lemonument gigantesque de l'erotisme et la violence dans le monde de 20-21 eme siecles. L'origine de la conscience humaine est le globe occulaire. Les arbres survivent infiniment plus longtemps que les hommes. Entre le temps insupportable et la nature impetueuse,ces sont tordus, se fendue, souffert, crie. Je dessinais ces oeuvres par les photos en noir et blanc.

 

"Story of the eyes" by Georges Bataille is probably the gigantic monument of erotism and violence

in the world of 20th-21st centuries. The origine of human conscience is the eyeball. The trees survive far longer than human being. Both of them are twisted, teared, writhing, crying, in the midst of insupportable time and fierce nature. In black and white, I have drawn these photographic works.
